MELD RECORD LABEL IDENTITY
Background
Visual identity for a London-based electronic label with roots in Aberdeen. Developed in collaboration with Adam Hepburn to reflect geographic origins and the weight of the sound. The label releases music across the intersection of UK techno and bass.
System
The logo functions as a directional marker pointing north-east to ground the brand in place and movement. Visual language references industrial signage, warning symbols and utilitarian systems. The identity avoids decoration, using a consistent foundation of logo, type and layout that builds outward in response to specific releases.
Production
A long-term identity built to accommodate variation while maintaining discography consistency. Album artwork balances grit and weight with warmth and memory. The system is designed to sit behind the music, providing a quiet and adaptable framework that grows with the label over time.
